Piotr Olech
S vyznamenáním absolvoval studia na katedře zpěvu a herectví na Hudební akademii v Gdaňsku ve třídě profesora P. Kusiewicze. Diplom získal i na katedře hudební výchovy na Hudební akedemii Frederica Chopina ve Varšavě. Zúčastnil se mnoha mistrovských kurzů, např. s P. Eswoodem, K. Wesselem, S. Taylorem a se členy ansámblu The King´s Singers. V letech 1995 – 2000 byl členem ansámblu Cantus, se kterým získal druhou cenu na soutěži rané hudby The Past for the Future ve Varšavě a cenu nejlepšího debutanta na osmém ročníku Festivalu staré hudby ve Varšavě.
Spolupracuje s Varšavskou komorní operou, Krakovskou Komorní operou, stejně jako s polskými a zahraničními filharmoniemi, komorními orchestry a soubory specializujícími se na interpretaci staré hudby, např. Concerto Polacco, Concerto Köln, Capella Cracoviensis, Fretwork, Wrocław Baroque Orchestra, Ars Cantus, Czech Ensemble Baroque, Solamente Naturali. Vystupoval s dirigenty A. Parrottem, P. McCreeshem, M. Toporowskim, J. T. Adamusem, K. Junghänelem, A. Speringem, P. Goodwinem, M. Caldim, R. Balconim, M. Vitalem, hostuje na mnoha významných hudebních festivalech po celé Evropě.
Zpívá především barokní hudbu, ale často si vybírá i klasicistní, raně romantický, případně soudobý repertoár. Má důvěru skladatelů k premiérování jejich děl. Nahrává také pro polské rádio i televizi. Nahrál přes třicet CD, z nichž tři získaly cenu Fryderyk polské gramofonové akademie.
Piotr Olech vyučuje na Hudebním institutu Univerzity Marie Curie-Skłodowské v Lublinu. Vedl také mistrovské kurzy barokní hudby v Polsku i v ČR – například Letní škola barokní hudby.
Graduated with distinction from his studies at the Vocal and Acting Department of the Music Academy in Gdańsk, in the class of prof. Piotr Kusiewicz. He is also a graduate of the Musical Education Department at the Frederic Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw. He has taken part in many master courses with artists such as Paul Eswood, Kai Wessel, Stephen Taylor and members of The King’s Singers vocal ensemble.
He collaborates with the Warsaw Chamber Opera, National Opera Brno – Czech Republic (Oberon in Midsummer Night’s Dream by B.Britten) as well as polish and foreign philharmonics, chamber orchestras and ensembles specializing in the performance of early music e.g. Concerto Polacco, Concerto Koeln, Capella Cracoviensis, Fretwork, Wrocław Baroque Orchestra, Musica Aeterna, Ars Cantus, Czech Ensemble Baroque, Solamente Naturali.
He performs with conductors and musicians such as Andrew Parrott, Paul McCreesh, Marek Toporowski, Jan Tomasz Adamus, Konrad Junghanel, Fabio Bonizzoni, Andreas Spering, Paul Goodwin, Massimiliano Caldi, Roberto Balconi, Marco Vitale, hosting at many important music festivals in almost all Europe.
He also appreciates the cooperation with Collegium Vocale Gent and Philippe Herreweghe.
Piotr Olech sings with pleasure baroque music, but he often choose classical, early romantic and contemporary music (composers entrust him a premiere of their works). He also records for Polish Radio and Television. He has recorded nearly 30 CD’s and 3 of them have received a Fryderyk award – Polish Phonographics Academy.
Piotr Olech as a lecturer works in the Music Institute of the Maria Curie – Skłodowska University in Lublin and Bydgoszcz Academy of Music. He is also invited to give lectures and baroque music masterclasses.
