Ondřej Šindelář

Ondřej Šindelář graduated from the Hochschule für Musik in Basel, Switzerland, in the class of bassoonist Sergio Azzolini and later continued his studies in early music and historical instruments at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis.

Ondřej teaches a course in baroque bassoon at the JAMU in Brno, is a member of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, but performs on historical instruments with his ensembles Sesto and Opus Elocutio, for example. In addition, he is invited to collaborate with the orchestras Collegium 1704, Collegium Marianum, Weimar Baroque, etc. He was a member of the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Capital City of Prague. He has been a member of the Prague Symphony Orchestra and the Prague FOK. He has played with the Festival Orchestra in Verbier, Switzerland, the London Philharmonia Orchestra and the Kremerata Baltica. He is the founder and former member of the Belfiato Quintet, a Czech chamber wind ensemble that has been active since 2005.
